Re: forts

and a fantastic, triangulated canal system too - 45°27'47.68" N 19°32'33.75" E - follow those canals to find oggs and other interesting sites!

A classic canal feature - 45°16'49.46" N 19°49'27.95" E - the triangle!

Re: A Theory

Yes Mike - I had considered that the StarCiv might have had the means of somehow making water 'still'. By that, I mean they had some way of making water stay in place i.e. not flow like water normally does. Re: Downloading Colm's KMZ file

when you click the download icon, choose 'save file...', and download. Then go to wherever your downloaded files are stored, double click the The_Catalogue.KMZ file and it will launch GE and ask you at the end of your session whether to save it into GE or discard it. Hope that helps.

Re: Limerick, Ireland

Thanks for that, Mike. Just worked out how link KMZ pins to images on the web - I dropped this image into a folder on the starforts.org web site (web space) and then there's an option, (when creating a KMZ pin) to link to an image on the web. Hey presto, when you click on the pin in GE, it displays ...

Hey look, I'm open to any possibility, especially after finding out that any history beyond a few hundred years ag...
