This is only one of many auxiliaries (I cant spell it right, can we use another term?). I can see at least two more defensive ponds on the other dide of the river. Obviuosly there were many more in a circle, or even several circles. Budapest was a big one.

By the way, Prague has a minor mistake on the southwest side of the star wall. I will point it out tomorow.

i use the term redoubt, but that imediately gives it back a military purpose, something i don't really agree on but can be effective naming terminology.

I am having some issues with sharing points, so I'll do it the old fashioned way. I've been in both cities in person, so I have some orientation.
The ponds in Budapest I was talking about:
47.481399, 19.089714
https://www.google.lt/maps/@47.4815043, ... 312!8i6656
47.515693, 19.083466
https://www.google.lt/maps/@47.5163931, ... 192!8i4096

And Prague, missing spikes, not cheked on kmz
1 spike:
50.079946, 14.403572
https://www.google.lt/maps/@50.0797535, ... 312!8i6656
and the second one (this one probably rebuilt, but its a spike):
50.080054, 14.400981
https://www.google.lt/maps/@50.0799904, ... 168!8i3584
P.S. Please someone teach me hot to properly share the points and lines.

When using GoogleEarth, wherever your 'hand' pointer is on the map, press CTRL+SHIFT+C and the coordinates are copied. Then right click mouse and paste into whichever application you want.

I'll check out your areas of interest (above) today.

Just been looking at Budapest in the 1940's - and for the first time, many of the pics are not available as enlarged images. Hmmm. Might be a glitch with the NCAP site.
However, I would now call Budapest 'The City of Colosseums' - there are a huuuge number of them. Including a giant one. And I mean a GIANT racetrack of some kind.

It's got a very StarCiv feel about it. We should do a Case Study on Budapest.
