Ulm was a large Star with extensions in the form of a crown - (this is seen elsewhere, pics yet to be posted) - and surrounded by a multitude of sats and oggs in an unusual (it seems) pattern. Although Ulm is obviously nowhere near the size of Paris Star, the larger stars tend have a regularly spaced ring of sats around them - but at Ulm they are fairly random in distribution. As stated before, it seems that the StarCiv liked diversity - in it's truest sense - and that no two stars were the same, including layouts (outside the star) of nearby sats, oggs and field systems. The main canal (now a river) ran through the southern part of the Star, as usually seen in larger stars.
