Dunkerque and immediate surrounding area, France
Lots of StarCiv evidence in this area of France. Masses, in fact. I suspect that being in the same general area as Belgium and The Netherlands - both of which also suffered a coating of silt or mud - this entire region was heavily and densely populated with StarCiv activity. It makes me wonder how much went underwater, in what is now possibly a wider English Channel.

Dunkerque in 1944:
51°01'39.14" N 2°19'20.70" E
Note the large auxilliary structure in the top left corner.
A closer look at this structure, from 1940, before the demolition and filling in of the surrounding canal began in earnest:
51°02'29.56" N 2°17'50.90" E
Beautifully engineered. Now gone.
Just along the coast from the large auxilliary, is a smaller one:
51°02'21.50" N 2°17'07.20" E (approximate location)
Another shot of the area around the large auxilliary structure, triangulated canels being filled in:
51°02'07.60" N 2°17'55.99" E
----------------------------------------------
And in the centre of Dunkerque, we find a canal auxilliary (now gone), an example of that which can be found worldwide, integrated into the canal system:
51°01'38.84" N 2°21'54.81" E
And here's a pic of the satellite near the centre of Dunkirk from 1940 - still in what appears to be good condition:
GE co-ords - 51°00'51.55" N 2°20'07.18" E
and a close-up:

13thMonkey posted this drawing of Dunkerque in the maps section - wow!
Some kind of extended jetty system that extended well into the sea and a series of island (possibly) auxilliaries! Funny, I hadn't considered that the StarCiv might have fishing fleets. Delivery of goods from far away places was obviously a massive part of their infrastructure (I can't call it 'trade' because I think they operated without 'commerce'), but fishing had escaped me. Any idea of the provenence of this drawing, 13thMonkey?
And another drawing/map supplied by 13thMonkey showing the long jetty into the sea:

Gravelines - 50°59'11.54" N 2°07'46.03" E
Just along the coast from Dunkirk - still, even today, plenty of StarCiv structures left at Gravelines.
Here's a few pics from 1940:
In the pic above, note the nice, straight canal out to sea. It may have stretched further than the remains suggest.

Bergues - just a short hop south of Dunkirk - 50°58'07.82" N 2°25'49.15" E
taken in 1940:
and along the canal that runs between Dunkirk and Bergues, a couple of very nice 4-point stars, the first one has a floating point on the opposite side of the canal (seen elsewhere):

Bourbourg - Can't definitely say if this is StarCiv or not - but it has hallmarks.
The triangulated canal running through or past it, the circular nature of it's boundary and it's overall integration into the field system. Hmmm.

The whole coast of both countries are littered with these things, this is just a view of where to find!

These people are instinct with the plan due to some more and less things decided which brings the things more complicated
