Yesterday was at Daugavpils, Latvia. It's allready on the file, so I'll just upload some photos, which can't be seen on streetview. I noticed some details which don't make sense, like poligonal masonry joined with brickwork, which supposed to be build all at same time. More details tomorrow.

About the odd things. It is said that it was build as a fortress to guard a bridge and to rest when traveling from st.Petersburg to Germany. It makes sense, but... I could't find any maps or pictures showing a bridge being build at the center part of the star. It would be logical it to be at the safest spot, wouldnt it? The supposed main entrance also isn't at the center of the spike. Why make such a marvelous symetrical wall, but unsymetrical entrance? And it looks more like someone made a hole in the poligonal stone wall and made a gate out of bricks ( a later addition?). As a matter of fact allmost all entrances are made of bricks in the poligonal stone walls. It just simply doesnt feel like made by same people.
